Macarthur FC have confirmed eight player departures from their Isuzu UTE A-League squad as Mile Sterjovski plots a squad rebuild ahead of next season.
Charles M’Mombwa, Daniel De Silva, Danijel Nizic, Jerry Skotadis, Jesper Webber, Kearyn Baccus, Matthew Millar and Tommy Smith have all left the club after a campaign where the Bulls finished fifth on the ladder, before being falling in the Elimination Finals.
“We thank these players for their contributions to the club and wish them the best for their future endeavours,” a club statement read.
It was a season of progress for Macarthur, who reached the Finals Series for the second time in club history.
M’Mombwa was a member of the club’s inaugural squad and remains the only player to score for the Bulls in the Finals; the 26-year-old departs after 62 appearances.
De Silva played three seasons for Macarthur, racking up 44 appearances and scoring two goals, while Baccus featured 44 times across his two seasons at the club.
Goalkeeper Nizic departs without making a senior appearance, while Skotadis (29 matches), Webber (two matches) and Smith (eight matches) will not add to their tallies.
Millar featured 35 times for the Bulls across two seasons, scoring 10 goals.
The Bulls have already re-signed youngsters Ariath Piol and Alexander Robinson as Sterjovski looks to steel his side for next term.
