Melbourne City have confirmed the departure of American-born winger Lourdes Bosch to National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) side Denver Summit for an undisclosed fee.
The 24-year-old joined City on a two-year contract ahead of the Ninja A-League 2024-25 campaign but after a brilliant breakout season at the club – her first campaign as a professional – the American college star has called time on her stint Down Under in favour of a move to the US top flight.
Born in America to Mexican and Cuban parents, Bosch received her first senior call-up to the Mexican international squad whilst at City and will continue to push to make her international debut following the conclusion of her time in City blue.

Bosch made 29 appearances for City and notched seven goals and nine assists – the most assists of any player in the Ninja A-League 2024-25 campaign.
“My time at Melbourne City has been a big step in my journey as a professional footballer,” Bosch said. “I’ve learned and grown so much during this chapter, and I’ll always be proud to have worn the City shirt.
“Being part of an invincible regular season, playing in the AFC Champions League, and earning my first international call-up are moments I’ll carry with me forever.
“To the City fans, thank you for being there through it all. Your passion and support made every matchday special, and it’s something I’ll never forget.”
City director of football Michael Petrillo praised Bosch for making an “immediate impact at Melbourne City, with her vision, attacking flair, and quality playing a key role in our success last season.”
“This move is a significant opportunity for her, and one that we’re proud to have helped her achieve,” Petrillo added.
“It’s another example of Melbourne City providing a platform for talented players to springboard into top international environments.”
