In-form Adelaide United attacker Ryan Kitto expects Brisbane Roar to find their best form in the Hyundai A-League soon but is adamant a short turnaround for the Reds won’t hurt their hopes on Saturday night.
Marco Kurz’s men host Roar at Coopers Stadium this weekend, just five days after their hard-fought 1-0 win over Central Coast Mariners on Boxing Day.
The victory over the Mariners was played in stifling Adelaide heat, with Roar coming to town fresh from a nine-day break since their last outing.
But Kitto is confident fatigue won’t be an issue against a desperate Roar side looking to get their finals hopes off life support.
“We have worked hard all pre-season so physically we know that we can do it,” Kitto said.
“Obviously our focus will be recovery with the short turnaround, but we are confident that we’ll be good come Saturday afternoon.
“They’re [Roar] a very good team with very experienced players.
“So they will hit form at some stage and they’re a good team, so we are going to have to bring everything come Saturday afternoon to make sure that we get the result that we want.”

The Reds moved up to fourth after their win over the Mariners and they are well-placed to make a charge for a top-two berth in the second half of the season.
Kitto’s match-winner on Tuesday was his fifth of the campaign, with the 23-year-old arguably in the best form of his career.
“I’m hungry to always improve, there’s always areas to improve,” the South Australian junior said.
“But I’m just enjoying my football at the moment and the team’s doing well so it’s a good a place and we are all happy.”
