History is on Melbourne City’s side when they host Brisbane Roar at AAMI Park on Friday night in the first of the Hyundai A-League’s Elimination Finals.
City is unbeaten in their last 10 games against Roar at the venue, winning seven of those matches.
Despite trailing at half-time in three of those encounters, City have managed to fight back to avoid defeat, which should give them plenty of confidence heading into this do-or-die clash.

While City’s record against Roar at AAMI is encouraging, their Finals Series record is a little more concerning.
In their last six finals matches, City have managed just two wins and lost their home Elimination Final last season, a 2-0 defeat to Perth Glory.
