Western United have secured the services of promising young Australian forward Kahli Johnson for her third season at the Liberty A-League club.
The 20-year-old, who established herself as a talent to watch with the Young Matildas, is now set to step up to the Australia U23 squad and the Four Nations Tournament held in Växjö, Sweden alongside the host nation, Germany and Poland from 29 May – 4 June, 2024.
Johnson will return from Swedish and turn her attention to the 2024-25 Liberty A-League season where she’ll focus on displaying on-field progression.

“I’m very excited for this third season,” Johnson said. “Having had two solid finishes in the league, I feel we’ve gained a lot of experience as a team and would love to push for one better next season.
“I’ve been very happy with my development at Western so far and I’m keen to keep growing and learning. I would love to show that more on the field this season.”
Western United General Manager of Football Mal Impiombato praised Johnson as a young talent with enormous potential as she recomitted to the club for 2024-25.
