Newcastle Jets have re-signed versatile defender Josie Wilson after an encouraging debut campaign in the Ninja A-League Women.
Wilson, 25, joined the club ahead of the 2023-24 season from NPLW NSW club Northern Tigers.
She’s made 18 appearances for the Jets to date and returns ahead of the new campaign where the Jets will look to build off last season’s Semi-Final finish.
“I am excited to re-sign with the Jets again for 2024-25,” Wilson said.
“I’m grateful to be returning to such an amazing club. We achieved a lot last season and I’m really looking forward to building on that for the season ahead.”

Jets head coach Ryan Campbell is excited by Wilson’s potential and praised the re-signing defender for her ability to play multiple positions.
“Josie had a great first season in Newcastle having been plucked from NPL in Sydney. Her physical characteristics allowed her to slot into the style that we implemented throughout the season and she was involved in many of our key matches.
“Josie has a lot of potential and is somebody that I am looking forward to working with more in order to get the most out of her. Her adaptability to positions is a key strength and something that allows her to have a good impact on the game.”
