Jets star to depart at season’s end

Newcastle Jets on Tuesday night confirmed the departure of striker Lachlan Rose to Scottish Premiership side Dundee United at the end of the 2025/26 A-League season.

Rose joined the Club from A-League Rivals Macarthur FC in 2024 and has scored 16 goals in 39 matches in the Isuzu Ute A-League for the Jets.

Newcastle Jets General Manager of Football Nigel Boogaard said.

“While we are disappointed to lose Lachie, we are delighted for him that he has earned this opportunity to test himself in Europe.

He has embraced everything we value as a Club, worked hard to develop his game and has been a consistent contributor within the squad. His progression is a credit to his mindset and the environment he has been part of here.

Opportunities like this are what we want for our players, and Lachie has put himself in this position through his work and commitment.

We wish him all the best with the next chapter of his career.”
