Adelaide United has confirmed towering striker Eli Babalj will miss the rest of the 2015/16 Hyundai A-League campaign after suffering a serious knee injury.
Babalj ruptured his ACL during the Reds’ 4-1 win over Brisbane Roar at Suncorp Stadium on Friday night.

He returned back to Adelaide following the match, undergoing a scan which has confirmed the injury sustained to his right knee. Babalj will undergo surgery next week.
The 23-year-old’s injury is expected to keep him on the sidelines for at least nine months.Â
