Could have stolen the headlines with one of several chances against the Mariners, but the Algeria international still turned in his best performance to date as the Cup Final looms.

Led his side’s second half resistence with a swerving shot from distance that deceived Andrew Redmayne.

The Brazilian should have had a hat-trick, but he put himself in the right position to score Sydney’s second and also provided a fine assist for Ninkovic’s opener.
