GOALKEEPER
Paul Izzo (Reds)
The only gloveman to keep a clean sheet in Adelaide’s 1-0 triumph in Wellington. Izzo made two saves, won 4/4 of his duels and attempted 37 passes.
DEFENDERS
Luke Wilkshire (Sydney FC)
Turning back the years with his performances at the Sky Blues. Wilkshire assisted Bobo’s equaliser and finished with a passing accuracy of 88% from his 42 pass attempts.
Nikolai Topor-Stanley (Jets)
The big centre-back made three clearances, 40 pass attempts (at an 85% accuracy) and scored the opening goal in a 2-2 draw at Melbourne City.
Alex Wilkinson (Sydney FC)
“Wilko” was superb in the win over Victory. He made seven clearances and had a passing accuracy of 87% from his 38 pass attempts.
Scott Neville (Glory)
Against his former club Western Sydney, the right-back attempted 60 passes with an accuracy of 83%, won six of his duels and created two scoring chances.
MIDFIELDERS
Dario Vidosic (City)
The fringe Caltex Socceroo has been excellent since swapping Wellington for Melbourne. Vidosic had four shots at goal, scoring once, created three scoring chances and attempted three tackles.
Adrian Mierzejewski (Sydney FC)
The Polish international contested 27 duels, the second-most of any player, in Sydney’s Big Blue triumph. He also created two scoring chances, including an assist, and had four shots at goal.
Luke Brattan (City)
The classy playmaker created six scoring chances, the second most of any player during the round, including an assist in City’s draw with the Jets.
Daniel Arzani (City)
Hard to believe this kid is still just a teenager. Tormented the Jets as he had two shots on target, won a round-high 15 duels, created four scoring chances and scored his first Hyundai A-League goal.
FORWARDS
Diego Castro (Glory)
The special Spaniard scored twice in Glory’s 3-1 win over the Wanderers. He also had an assist, and created a round-high seven scoring chances.
Bobo (Sydney FC)
The Brazilian marquee set a Sky Blues scoring record, with his two goals against Victory taking him to a season-high 18 for the season so far. Bobo also made a round-high three shots on target and won 8/19 duels contested.
