Melbourne Victory youngster Christian Theoharous has claimed the Hyundai A-League Goal of the Week, as voted by the fans.
The 18-year-old claimed the award for this thumping strike in Victory’s crushing 5-2 win over Central Coast Mariners at AAMI Park on Sunday afternoon.
With Victory leading 4-0 inside the final 10 minutes, Theoharous put the icing on the cake with a fabulous individual effort.

After receiving a long ball from Rhys Williams, the youngster showed excellent feet to stand up his defender before lashing a powerful strike from a tight angle which struck the post before nestling into the back of the net.
Not a bad way to score your first ever goal in the A-League!
Theoharous’ strike claimed 48% of the fans’ vote, narrowly edging out teammate Leroy George who picked up 40% of the total for his tidy finish in the same match.
