Melbourne Victory midfielder Mark Milligan has claimed the Hyundai A-League’s goal of the week for Round 10, as voted by the fans.
The Caltex Socceroo netted the equaliser in Friday night’s 2-1 loss to Adelaide United at Etihad Stadium.
Victory may have been on the wrong end of the scoreline but Milligan’s strike will live long in the memory of the Big V faithful.
Leroy George’s cross found its way through to the midfielder, who flicked the ball over Daniel Adlung and rifled a volley into the bottom corner off his left foot.
Not a bad way to score your first goal of the season!
Milligan’s strike took out 48% of the public vote, edging out Brandon O’Neill’s cracker in the Sydney Derby (34%).
