There’s nothing sweeter than scoring against your old club and Daniel Georgievski’s peach against Melbourne Victory has earned him the Hyundai A-League Goal of the Week for Round 8.
After falling behind early at home, the fullback pulled the Jets level before Newcastle completed a stunning turnaround to thump the visitors 4-1.
Dimitri Petratos teed-up Georgievski inside the area with the ex-Victory defender taking a touch before firing a thumping strike into the roof of the net.
It was Georgievski’s first goal against his former club, with the 29-year-old reserving any celebration as a sign of respect for his former employers.
