Sydney FC young gun Harry Van Der Saag will remain with the club for another two years having signed a deal to stay until the end of the Hyundai A-League 2021/22 season.
Harry Van der Saag will continue his budding Hyundai A-League career with Sydney FC for the next two campaigns.
The 20-year-old has started the past two matches for Steve Corica’s side at right-back in relief of suspended Socceroo Rhyan Grant, and he will continue his development with the Sky Blues through the 2021/22 season.
Van der Saag made his competition debut as a substitute in the 1-0 win against Central Coast Mariners in Round 10 and has gone on to make four appearances for the 2018/19 Champions.
The former Narrabeen junior signed his first professional contract earlier this season after being part of the Sky Blues academy since the age of 16.
“Harry thoroughly deserves his contract extension,” Corica told the club website.
“He has done well when he has stepped up for us and is learning and improving all of the time.

“It’s important that he continues that for the next two years and with the right attitude I’m sure he will only get better.”
Van der Saag first pulled on the Sky Blues jersey in a pre-season tilt against Paris Saint-Germain which saw him going up against French FIFA World Cup winning striker Kylian Mbappe last July.
He has since gone on to become a regular in Sydney FC’s match day squad and Van der Saag is ready to continue on a learning curve.
“I’m delighted to have extended my contract with the club I’ve always supported,” Van der Saag said.
“It’s a case of ‘living the dream’ for me at the moment and I’m determined to work as hard as I can in training and on the field to ensure it lasts for many years to come.
“I’m learning so much from the wonderful players around me in this squad and every day I come to work knowing it’s a privilege to be able to be a part of this club.”
