Central Coast Mariners have confirmed treble-winning midfielder Harrison Steele has signed a three-year contract extension and will remain at the club until at least 2027.
A Central Coast local and a product of the club’s academy system, Steele has made 63 Isuzu UTE A-League appearances through three seasons and has committed to three more years at his hometown club after contributing to last season’s trophy treble.
Steele played 14 regular-season games in 2023-24 to help the Mariners clinch the Premiership. He came off the bench in his side’s AFC Cup Final win and played 51 minutes in last month’s Isuzu UTE A-League Grand Final triumph over Melbourne Victory.
“I love this club and community, it is my home,” Steele said after recommitting to the Mariners for the long-term.
“I’m looking forward to helping continue to build on what we have already done, I have been here for a long time and have loved every minute of it.
“This club means a lot to the people of the Central Coast, and I am thrilled to be extending my time with the Mariners.”
Steele has joined Mikael Doka as the Mariners’ second re-signing of the off-season. Lucas Mauragis has joined the club from Newcastle Jets, while Haine Eames has signed a scholarship contract.
Ronald Barcellos, Jing Reec, Dan Hall, Max Balard and Danny Vukovic (retired) have all departed the club since the conclusion of the 2024-25 season.
Mariners head coach Mark Jackson says Steele’s three-year extension is a fantastic example of the club’s pathway from the academy to the first team.
“We are delighted to secure Steeley with us on a new long-term deal. He is a player with huge potential and brings a lot to the team both on and off the pitch,” Jackson said.
“To see local players come through and make their mark on the first team is fantastic and we’re looking forward to working with Steeley next season and beyond.”
