Sydney FC goalkeeper Harrison Devenish-Meares received a straight red card in the first half of his Isuzu UTE A-League debut, after a collision with Central Coast Mariners striker Alou Kuol.
Devenish-Meares replaced Subway Socceroos keeper Andrew Redmayne in head coach Ufuk Talay’s starting XI for Sydney’s Round 7 clash with the Mariners; in the 42nd minute, Devenish-Meares took down Kuol in a collision of bodies after the Central Coast forward beat him to the ball outside the penalty area.

Referee Adam Kersey produced a straight red card in a premature end to the 28-year-old’s first Isuzu UTE A-League appearance since joining the Sky Blues ahead of the 2024-25 season.
