Perth Glory rising star Grace Johnston has earned the “wildcard” nomination for the 2024-25 Boost Mobile Young Footballer of the Year award in the Ninja A-League.
The 20-year-old central midfielder is the seventh and final player to be nominated for the award in 2024-25, joining the six monthly nominees selected throughout the Ninja A-League season by a panel of technical football experts and media representatives, who vote on a 3-2-1 basis at the conclusion of each nominated monthly period throughout the season.
At the conclusion of the regular season, the six monthly nominees are joined in the running for Boost Mobile Young Footballer of the Year by a wildcard selection; the player who receives the most cumulative votes over the course of the season but does not receive a monthly nomination, earns the wildcard nomination for the award.
