The good news is Brisbane Roar’s Corey Gameiro says he’s only suffering from bruising down his shin after the weekend’s clash with Central Coast Mariners.
Brisbane registered a much-needed win on the Coast courtesy of a 2-1 victory over Paul Okon’s men.
But much of the talk after the game was Gameiro after a bad tackle by Wout Brama that resulted in the Dutchman being red-carded.
Gameiro, 24, posted to his Instagram (@CJGameiro) allaying concerns, saying he’s not badly injured and thanked Brama for apologising after the match for the tackle.
Gameiro has endured shocking luck with injuries in his career, having three knee reconstructions.
He returned to the field earlier this season after two years out of the game due to injury.
