Good news for football’s finances, reveals Gallop

Football Federation Australia chief executive David Gallop says the code is going from strength-to-strength financially with half of the 10 Hyundai A-League football clubs forecast to break even or record a profit in the coming season.

With excitement building ahead of the Hyundai A-League kick-off on Friday night, the news is hugely encouraging ahead of the competition’s 10th season.

“We are not completely through the woods yet financially but half of the clubs will make a profit or at least break even, which is not something we could have said even only a couple of years ago,” Gallop told the Australian Financial Review.
