It may be a slightly shortened Round 5 but there’s still plenty of exciting action in store across the Westfield W-League this weekend.
Here’s why you shouldn’t miss a minute of the action!
RED HOT HILL
Rachel Hill is the hottest striker in the Westfield W-League.
The American has scored six goals in four games for Perth Glory to lift them to the top of the ladder.
With Sam Kerr on international duty, Hill will need to be firing on all cylinders when Glory travel to face Canberra United, who have won six of the seven previous meetings between the two.
JETS NEED LIFT-OFF
After wins in their first two games, the Newcastle Jets have lost their last two, conceding seven goals in the process.
A trip to Marden Sports Complex to take on Adelaide United shapes as another tricky prospect, with Reds striker Makenzy Doniak in excellent form with four goals so far.
The Jets though may take inspiration from their male counterparts, after their 4-1 hammering of Melbourne Victory sent them to the top of the Hyundai A-League table.
TIME TO GET CRACKING
Melbourne Victory welcome Western Sydney Wanderers to Lakeside Stadium in tonight’s opening match of the round.
Both sides have just one win from three games so far this season.
But a win for either could propel them into the top four depending on results elsewhere.
