Brisbane Roar’s home clash with Central Coast Mariners in the Ninja A-League at Perry Park has been abandoned due to a waterlogged pitch caused by poor weather conditions.
Kick-off to the fixture originally scheduled for 6.00pm AEDT was postponed twice due to heavy rainfall in Brisbane, resulting in water pooling on the Perry Park pitch.
Match officials conducted an inspection close to a rearranged kick-off time of 7.15pm AEDT but determined the surface was not fit for play, resulting in the postponement of the fixture.
With the match officially postponed, Australian Professional Leagues (APL) will now work to determine a rescheduled date for the Round 6 Ninja A-League clash.
