Round 16 in the A-Leagues got underway on Friday night, with two games on the agenda.
Western Sydney Wanderers beat Newcastle Jets in the Liberty A-League Women in the earlier kick-off, with the two sides entertaining 3,783 fans at Carrington Park in Bathurst.
Adelaide United hosted Perth Glory at Coopers Stadium in the Isuzu UTE A-League to round out the Friday-night action, with the two sides producing an incredible 3-3 draw which was settled by a 98th-minute equaliser.

Western Sydney Wanderers defender Vicky Bruce bagged a 79th-minute goal to complete her side’s 2-1 comeback win over Newcastle Jets in Bathurst on Friday night.
A healthy crowd of 3,873 flocked to Carrington Park to watch an intense Liberty A-League fixture unfold. Libby Copus-Brown opened the scoring for the Jets with a stunning strike from range but Sophie Harding levelled the scores just before the break with her ninth goal of the campaign, setting the platform for Bruce to find the winning goal in the second half.
Both teams began Round 16 with the opportunity to climb into the top four and it was the Wanderers taking full advantage, with Robbie Hooker’s side breaking a two-game losing run to leap above three clubs into fourth spot on the Liberty A-League table.

Adelaide United youngster Panagiotis Kikianis scored his first A-Leagues goal to rescue a point for the Reds in a dramatic 3-3 draw with Perth Glory that truly had it all at Coopers Stadium on Friday night.
The hosts led 2-0 in the first half, then trailed 3-2 late in the piece as Perth shaped to record an historic victory on the road; all looked lost for Adelaide when Stefan Mauk missed a penalty in the 87th minute before Kikianis diverted a Giuseppe Bovalina header over the line to snatch a point for the home side in the six-goal epic.
