“It’s the result of a landmark six-year deal between Football Federation Australia (FFA) and Crocmedia to bring the game to a wider audience of fans.”
The Football Nation coverage will include a preview, play-by-play call and post game review of the biggest games of the season and will also be live streamed on www.a-league.com.au and the Hyundai A-League app as well as the newly launched www.myfootballnation.com.au that will carry additional exclusive games.
The commentary team includes some of the game’s most credentialed personalities including former Hyundai A-League players Rocky Visconte, Adam Kwasnik, Clint Bolton, Daniel McBreen and Steven McGarry.
Together they will preview, call and dissect key games each week kicking off with the season opener this Friday when Melbourne City hosts Brisbane Roar at AAMI Park.
FFA Head of Commercial, Digital and Marketing, Luke Bould welcomed the expanded commercial coverage of the game.
“We are delighted that Crocmedia has secured an unprecedented level of commercial radio coverage for both our national Leagues and national teams”, Bould said.
“Football continues to grow strongly across the nation and the expansion of coverage further validates the impact the game is having in a very competitive entertainment market.”
Crocmedia will further support the partnership via integration into its other media assets and programs to drive even broader interest and excitement in football.
In the deal, Crocmedia has also secured big screen and LED boundary signage rights at all Hyundai A-League and Westfield W-League games.
