“We congratulate Kate Lundy on today-s appointment as Minster for Sport, which is great news for all involved in sport,” said FFA CEO Ben Buckley.

“Kate is eminently qualified for this job with her deep understanding of the sporting landscape and her known passion for sport.

“Kate is an avid fan of Canberra United in the Westfield W-League and was among the crowd who cheered Canberra to a Grand Final victory last month.

“We look forward to continuing our strong working relationship with Senator Lundy on the development of football across Australia,” concluded Buckley.
