Melbourne City have signed New Zealand international forward Deven Jackson ahead of the Ninja A-League 2025-26 season.
Jackson, 27, joins City from Newcastle Jets where she bagged six goals in 2024-25 to claim an equal share of the club’s Golden Boot award.
The one-cap Football Fern joins her third Ninja A-League club after stints at the Jets and Canberra United, and will link up with New Zealand international teammate and City captain Rebekah Stott for the 2025-26 campaign.

Upon confirmation of her arrival at the reigning Ninja A-League Premiers, Jackson expressed her desire to help her new club secure more silverware while competing both at home and abroad in the AFC Women’s Champions League.
“Joining a Club like Melbourne City is a massive opportunity and one I’m incredibly excited for,” Jackson said,
“I’ve heard so many positive things about the Club’s culture, facilities and professionalism, and I’m really looking forward to being part of such a strong and ambitious group.
“I’m ready to get to work, meet the team, and do everything I can to help bring more success to City in both the A-League Women’s and AFC Women’s Champions League.”
Jackson is City’s third new signing of the off-season, joining ex-Everton and Aston Villa defender Danielle Turner and former Sydney FC and Canberra United striker Aideen Keane for City’s tilt at a third-consecutive Ninja A-League Premiership.
