Perth Glory have signed 22-year-old Colombian winger Cristian Caicedo on a one-year deal ahead of the 2024-25 Isuzu UTE A-League Men campaign.
Caicedo joins the club from Colombian outfit Orsomarso SC where he made 30 appearances and scored five goals.
Formerly of Portuguese sides GS Loures, Oriental and FC Serpa, Caicedo arrives in Perth for his first season in the Isuzu UTE A-League and is a player Glory football director Stan Lazaridis believes will excite the club’s fans with his skillset.
“Cristian’s the kind of livewire player who puts bums on seats,” Lazaridis said.
“He’s versatile enough to play anywhere in the front four, he’s got pace and flair, loves to take players on and I can see him being a big hit with our supporters.
“Having another quality option like Cristian in the final third is a huge plus for us.”
Caicedo’s arrival in the West continues a busy off-season for Glory under new head coach David Zdrilic; the Colombian joins Josh Risdon, Brandon O’Neill, Zach Lisolajski, Anas Hamzaoui, Nathanael Blair, Nicholas Pennington, Taras Gomulka, Adam Bugarija, Abdelelah Faisal, Lachlan Barr, Hiroaki Aoyama, Nikola Mileusnic and Luis Cangá as the club’s 14th signing ahead of the 2024-25 Isuzu UTE A-League Men campaign.

Glory head coach Zdrilic says the young winger will prove a dangerous final-third presence and cause defenders plenty of problems in the upcoming season.
“Cristian’s strength is attacking with pace in wide areas and he therefore fits perfectly into our playing style and philosophy,” he said.
“He’s gained some important experience playing at a good level in both Colombia and Portugal and looks like an excellent fit for our squad.
“We look forward to seeing him provide a major threat in the final third this year.”
