Mariners release seven players

The rebuild at the Central Coast Mariners has begun with seven players and two staff members released from the club, effective immediately.

The club confirmed on Wednesday that Liam Rose, Storm Roux, Jacob Poscoliero, Josh Bingham, Blake Powell, Peter Skapetis and Tom Glover have all completed their time in Gosford.

The contracts of Poscoliero, Skapetis, Bingham and Rose expired at the completion of the Hyundai A-League 2017/18 Season and the quartet will not be re-signed.

Roux, who was contracted with the Mariners until the end of the next season, has been granted a release to pursue other opportunities.

While Glover’s loan agreement between the Mariners and his Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur expires on May 31 and will not be renewed.

Meanwhile, the club’s Foxtel National Youth League Head Coach/Academy Technical Director Wayne O’Sullivan and Hyundai A-League Strength & Conditioning Coach Balder Berckmans have also completed their tenures with the club.
