There were unprecedented scenes in the Isuzu UTE A-League on Saturday night as Central Coast Mariners were crowned back-to-back champions on their home turf in Gosford, and completed an unprecedented treble.
As the full-time whistle blew, a record crowd at Industree Group Stadium flooded onto the pitch to celebrate with their history-making Mariners.
The images were something truly special.
All of the Central Coast has embraced this Mariners team – and when their coronation was confirmed there was not just an outpouring of emotion from the players and the coaches, but also from the fans.
