Jets captain Cass Davis named November Shark Player of the Month after fan vote

Newcastle Jets midfielder and club Cassidy Davis has been named Shark Player of the Month for November in the Ninja A-Laegue, after a fan vote.

Davis was nominated for the monthly award as one of the 10 highest-rated players on FotMob’s rating system.

The 10 players with the highest FotMob rating (from 0.0 to 10.0) across each voting period are selected as the monthly nominees for the Shark Player of the Month award.

The November eligibility period included Rounds 1-4 of the Ninja A-League season, with games between November 1 and November 24 factored into the FotMob rating system.

Davis registered the seventh-highest FotMob rating of any player in the Ninja A-League through November (7.90), and was nominated alongside Emily Gielnik, Momo Hayashi, Alicia Woods, Tameka Yallop, Isabel Gomez, Fiona Worts, Catherine Zimmerman, Alex Chidiac and Chelsea Blissett.

Davis won the November award with a 19.5% share of the fan vote, eclipsing Brisbane Roar duo Tameka Yallop and Momo Hayashi who finished second and third in the voting respectively.

Davis scored one goal and notched two assists through four games in November, and has the highest passing accuracy (80.1%) and most passes played (201) of any player at the Jets to date.
