Adelaide United have confirmed head coach Carl Veart will leave the club at the end of the 2024-25 Isuzu UTE A-League season.
The Reds have “exercised a contractual option not to extend Veart’s tenure beyond the current campaign” as the 54-year-old prepares to depart as the longest-serving head coach in the club’s history.

An Adelaide legend following his career as a player and coach at Coopers Stadium, Veart has been at the helm since 2020 and he guided the Reds to three Semi-Final appearances while nurturing South Australian young talent like Nestory Irankunda, Mohamed Toure, Giuseppe Bovalina, Panagiotis Kikianis, Ethan Alagich, Luka Jovanovic, Harry Crawford and Ryan White.
This season, Adelaide find themselves seventh in the table and outside of the top six on goal difference with four regular-season games remaining.

“Carl’s legacy at Adelaide United is undeniable. He has led this club with integrity, resilience, and a deep connection to our community, and for that, we owe him our heartfelt thanks,” said Adelaide United owner Cor Adriaanse.
“The club has exercised a contractual option not to extend his tenure beyond the current campaign.
“Change is never easy, but it is a natural part of growth. This decision has been made as part of a broader long-term strategy — one that Carl has helped shape. We are entering an exciting new chapter, built on the strong foundations he has laid, and we remain fully committed to our identity as a proud South Australian club.
“To our fans, we simply say thank you — for your continued support and belief. We know how much this club means to you, and we’re committed to building on what’s been achieved together.”
