Auckland FC head coach Steve Corica says the Isuzu UTE A-League debutants are waiting to sign one more foreigner to complete their squad.
Auckland are the Isuzu UTE A-League’s newest team and the second New Zealand club are preparing for their historic debut against Brisbane Roar at Go Media Stadium on October 19.
Japanese star Hiroki Sakai, Uruguayan forward Guillermo May, Chilean midfielder Luis Felipe Gallegos and Belgian midfielder Louis Verstraete are the current foreigners on Auckland’s books, with the Black Knights looking to finalise the arrival of an overseas “winger”.

“We only have one other player we need to bring in,” Corica told Sky Sport New Zealand’s Crowd Goes Wild.
“We’ve had a few issues with his visa at the moment.
“Obviously the other foreigners, they’re here. They’ve played a couple of matches for us.
“We have one more pre-season game against Malaysia on Friday which is going to be a great test for us leading into the Brisbane game.”
