Perth Glory have added firepower to their squad ahead of the new Liberty A-League campaign, signing American striker Gabby Hollar on a one-year deal.
Following a stunning season in NPLW Victoria with Boroondara-Carey Eagles which has seen her hit 18 goals in 19 matches, Hollar joins a new-look Perth Glory side under recently appointed head coach, Stephen Peters.
“The opportunity to join Perth Glory is an absolute dream,” said Hollar after signing on ahead of the upcoming season.
“I am so thankful to everyone who has helped me get to this point in my career and the club for taking a chance on me.
“The decision to move to Melbourne to play for Boroondara in the NPL and then hopefully get an opportunity in the A-League could not have worked out better.
“I cannot wait to get to Perth and get to work as this is just the beginning. I am so excited to start my professional career with such a great club and can’t wait to see the success the club has this season.”

Beginning a footballing journey in the US college system with the likes of Purdue and West Virginia, Hollar has proven herself to be a threat in front of goal, most notably picking up the prestigious Sun Belt Player of the Year award following a prolific season with South Alabama.
“Gabby’s record this year speaks for itself,” said new Glory head coach Peters when discussing the club’s new number nine.
“She’s a strong, powerful striker and a clinical finisher too, which makes her extremely difficult to defend against.
“I’m confident that she will complement the other attacking players we have in our squad, along with the ones that we’re bringing in and that the club’s Members and fans will really enjoy watching her in action.”
