Brisbane Roar have further strengthened their Liberty A-League squad ahead of the new campaign, signing American defender Emily Pringle from University of California (UCLA).
The 22-year-old joins Brisbane on a one-year deal having played 14 games last season for UCLA and is excited for the challenge of playing in the Liberty A-League.
“I am absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity to play for Brisbane Roar,” said Pringle, who was born in Los Angeles but has an Australian father.
“The staff and players seem incredible, and I look forward to working with such a talented and dedicated group.
“After talking with the coaches, it became apparent that Brisbane Roar is the perfect fit for me.
“I am confident that I will have ample opportunities to learn and grow alongside experienced coaches and players. I’ve also heard wonderful things about the city and the great fanbase.

Pringle becomes Brisbane’s fourth signing of the off-season following the recruits of midfielder Zara Kruger and forwards Danelle Tan and Evdokia Popadinova, the latter joining from Italian giants Lazio.
Furthermore, Brisbane’s impressive off-season has also seen them re-sign goalkeeper Keeley Richards on a one-year deal while, crucially, Matildas winger Sharn Freier has put pen-to-paper on a new two-year contract following an impressive 2023-24 season.

However, while they have made in-roads when it comes to recruitment the Roar have also lost some significant experience from their squad ahead of the new campaign.
Amongst those to depart is now former club captain Ayseha Norrie while fellow fan favourite Hollie Palmer is also seeking pastures new after ending her six-year association with the Roar.
