Macarthur Bulls have created their own piece of history after handing 15-year-old Henrique Oliveira a three-year scholarship deal.
The younger brother of current Bulls attacker Bernardo and son of former Adelaide United star Cassio, Oliveira has followed in his older sibling’s footsteps by joining Macarthur from the Reds.
After putting pen-to-paper on a three-year scholarship contract Henrique has now become Macarthur’s youngest ever signing after opting to league Adelaide United’s academy.

Having already joined up with Mile Sterjovski’s side, the younger Oliveira will now look to copy brother Bernardo and establish himself in the first team squad.

“I’m obviously very happy for him, sibling to sibling,” said Bernardo when discussing his brother’s move from South Australia to Sydney’s South West.
“I’m happy to see where he’s gotten. And I know he’s at the right place here at Macarthur.
“What you can expect from him; he’s a good player, he dribbles, he likes to create things, so he’ll be good.”
It’s certainly been a week to remember for the younger Oliveira brother after he was also called up for the latest Joeys training camp.
Selected by head coach Brad Maloney as part of a 28-player squad, Henrique will soon travel to Canberra to be a part of a five-day domestic training camp.

Beginning on January 6, the camp will give Maloney and his coaching staff the chance to assess the best young talents in the country as they begin preparations ahead of the AFC U17 Asian Cup in Saudi Arabia later this year.
In somewhat perfect timing, second-placed Macarthur take on third-placed Adelaide United in a mouthwatering clash at Campbelltown Sports Stadium on Monday night.
