Melbourne Victory have announced the signature of Tunisian international Salim Khelifi on loan from Perth Glory for the remainder of the 2023-24 Isuzu UTE A-League season.
Khelifi, 29, joins Victory after 24 league appearances for Glory accumulated since his arrival in Perth ahead of the 2022-23 campaign.
“I’m thrilled to be able to join Melbourne Victory for the remainder of the season,” Khelifi said.
“It’s an exciting squad that’s looking to achieve big things this season and I’m looking forward to playing my part in the team during this period.”
Khelifi could debut for Victory against Sydney FC on Friday night, with the club confirming his availability for selection subject to visa requirements.
Victory head coach Tony Popovic said: “Salim is a dynamic and versatile attacker who will add a cutting-edge to our final third.
“His experience in Europe and familiarity in the league will allow him to integrate into the team immediately and we’re hoping he can help us continue our push towards success this season.”
Victory host the Sky Blues at AAMI Park in Friday night’s Big Blue, kicking off at 7.45pm AEDT.
