Melbourne Victory have completed their second transfer of the Patrick Kisnorbo era, signing striker Jing Reec from Danish side AGF Aarhus on a three-year deal.
The 21-year-old returns to Australia on a permanent deal having spent last season on loan at fellow Isuzu UTE A-League side Central Coast, where he played an important role as the Mariners sealed an unprecedented AFC Cup, Premiers Plate and Championship treble.
Initially breaking through at the Mariners back in 2021, Reec was promptly snapped up by the Danish outfit where he then featured prominently for both Youth and Reserve sides.

However a season’s worth of regular game time back in the Isuzu UTE A-League was enough to persuade Reec to return to Australia where he will now call Melbourne Victory home until the end of the 2026-27 season.
“I’m delighted to be joining Melbourne Victory,” said Reec after signing his new deal with last season’s beaten Grand Finalists.
“This is an exciting opportunity for me to come to Melbourne and prove myself at one of the biggest clubs in the country.
“The work starts now for me to give everything I can for the fans and for everyone at Melbourne Victory to achieve big things next season.”
Following on from the acquisition of Olyroos defender Josh Rawlins last week on a two-year deal, head coach Patrick Kisnorbo said he was delighted to be able to bring in a player of Reec’s calibre.

“We’re excited to have Jing join the Club for the next three seasons,” said Kisnorbo after the deal was made official.
“Jing brings an exuberance and a hard-working attitude that fits the ethos of our squad. His power, speed and finishing prowess, we believe, will complement our attacking options.
“He had an incredible breakout season in the league and we’re looking forward to him being able to continue that in Melbourne.”
With Rawlins and now Reec signed on for the foreseeable future, Victory are slowly but surely adding depth to a squad which waved goodbye to several key first team players at the end of last season including Damien De Silva, Jake Brimmer, Chris Ikonomidis and Connor Chapman.
