Macarthur FC have strengthened their defence ahead of the new Isuzu UTE A-League season, signing Belgian central defender Dino Arslanagic on a one-year deal.
A former Belgium Under-21 international, Arslanagic arrives in Campbelltown having enjoyed stints with Belgian sides Royal Antwerp and Standard Liege where he won the Belgian Cup with both sides in 2016 and 2020 respectively.
Furthermore, Arslanagic brings with him plenty of top-level experience having competed in the UEFA Europa League via KAA Gent whilst he’s also played in the Turkish Super Lig with Goztepe and most recently the Saudi Pro League with Al-Riyadh SC.

“I’m very happy to be apart of this family, this club,” said Arslanagic. “Everybody has welcomed me with kindness and I hope we will have a great season.
“I will give 100% every game. I will do my best every day. I’m a bad loser so I want to win.
He added: “I hope that the season will be nice with the team. I’ve already spoken with a few players and I see they’re all very friendly. So I think it will be a positive year for me.”
Standing at an impressive 1.91m, Arslanagic is likely to be both a handy presence and a threat at set-pieces for Mile Sterjovski’s side this season having scored 14 goals across his career.

The 31-year-old central defender joins the likes of Matt Jurman and Tomislav Uskok at the heart of the Bulls defence as the Bulls look to improve on last season’s fifth-placed finish.
Arslanagic becomes Macarthur’s sixth signing of the off-season following the arrivals of Marin Jakolis, Luke Brattan, Liam Rose, Chris Ikonomidis and Joshua Damevski while young striker Dean Bosnjak has also had his contract upgraded.
Meanwhile, the Bulls have tied down forward Ariath Piol to a new two-year contract whilst also handing new deals to goalkeeper Alexander Robinson, defender Walter Scott and key midfielder Daniel De Silva.

Looking further afield, Sterjovski’s side kick off their Isuzu UTE A-League campaign with a home clash against Perth Glory at Campbelltown Sports Stadium on October 20.
