Macarthur FC have bolstered their squad ahead of the 2024-25 Isuzu UTE A-League season, signing former Melbourne City winger Marin Jakoliš on a one-year deal.
Previously on loan at City from now Ligue 1 side Angers SCO in 2023-24, the 27-year-old returned to Europe upon the completion of his loan deal but subsequently parted ways with the French club, freeing him up to join Macarthur on a permanent basis.
Jakoliš, who also has the added bonus of possessing an Australian passport, will arrive in Campbelltown off the back of a productive season with Melbourne City which saw him register three goals and 11 assists across 34 games in all competitions.
“I’m very happy and excited to join Macarthur, very grateful for the opportunity to start this season with them and I can’t wait to get started and do great things with this club.”

Having only joined the club in January this year, the 20-year-old enjoyed a blistering start to life in Campbelltown only to then rupture his achilles tendon, thus ruling him out of action for the rest of the season.
However it’s believed the prodigious young forward is making good progress with his recovery from the injury and will certainly add a real boost to the Macarthur side when he returns during the season.
