The teams are IN ahead of Round 1 of the 2024-25 Isuzu UTE A-League season!
Sydney FC’s Douglas Costa and Wanderers recruit Juan Mata are set to light up the Sydney Derby on Saturday night, with the star signings named in their club’s respective squads for Round 1.
Central Coast Mariners and Melbourne Victory kick off the season with a Grand Final rematch in Gosford on Friday night; two-time reigning champions the Mariners will be without star recruit and Socceroo Trent Sainsbury who will be sidelined until the New Year with a chest injury.

Victory, meanwhile will be without Daniel Arzani (suspended) for Round 1 – but head coach Patrick Kisnorbo has confirmed Socceroos duo Jason Geria and Nishan Velupillay are in the selection mix having returned from international duty.
Melbourne City will be without six players for Round 1, including Socceroo Mathew Leckie who will miss one-to-two weeks with a quad injury.
Young striker Max Caputo underwent surgery in August to repair a syndesmosis injury and fractured fibula sustained in pre-season training and will miss five-to-six weeks, whilst teenage defender Jayden Necovski is set to miss the entire 2024-25 season after rupturing the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee.
