Brisbane Roar have appointed Ruben Zadkovich as the club’s new assistant coach until the end of the 2023-24 Isuzu UTE A-League season.
Zadkovich, who spent last season in charge of Perth Glory, joins Brisbane head coach Ben Cahn’s staff for the remainder of the campaign and will work alongside existing coaches Graham Harvey and Richard Greer.
Zadkovich had been searching for a new opportunity within the game having left Perth at the end of last season after narrowly missing out on playing finals football with the Glory.
Zadkovich initially took charge of Perth on an interim basis in March 2022 but was then appointed full-time for the 2022-23 season, with the club ultimately finishing in ninth place.
“The opportunity to continue my coaching career at such a wonderful club with such great
history, and to work alongside someone of Ben’s calibre was an opportunity I couldn’t turn
down,” Zadkovich said.
Zadkovich will get straight to work with the Queenslanders and will be on the bench for their Round 12 clash with Newcastle Jets at McDonald Jones Stadium.
Brisbane Roar head into their re-arranged clash with Newcastle Jets sat in ninth spot on the ladder, four point clear of their opponents.
