BUY

Cortnee Vine (Sydney FC)

  • Price: $348.2k
  • Position: FWD
  • Ownership: 34.4%

There may be no more perfect time to pick up Cortnee Vine in Official A-Leagues Fantasy than this week.

The Matildas star roared back into form in Sydney FC’s 1-1 draw with Brisbane Roar last week, scoring her side’s solitary goal and tallying a total of 16 points in Fantasy, her best score of an injury interrupted 2023-24 season.

Vine’s price has dipped to $348.2k, which is a $130.5k dip since the start of the campaign, making her a prime target for coaches looking to bolster their attack this round – given she’s set to have a price hike in the coming weeks.

In an added bonus, Vine and her Sydney teammates will score bonus points this round, as her points from this Friday’s clash with Wellington Phoenix and game-in-hand against Canberra on Wednesday will count to this weekend’s score, meaning she should beat her breakeven of 12.

This is the same luxury for their Canberra counterparts, whose points from its clash with Western United on Saturday will also count alongside their points from Wednesday night’s meeting with the reigning champions.

HOLD

Hannah Keane (Western United)

  • Price: $343.3k
  • Position: FWD
  • Ownership: 11.4%

Although the goals haven’t been coming by the bucket load this season, Hannah Keane has still been one of Official A-Leagues Fantasy’s most consistent scorers.

The reigning Liberty A-League Golden Boot winner has only scored two goals this season, but has managed to still average 8.4 points per game, making her one of the most consistent forward options in the game.

Despite the lack of goals, Keane is still getting chances in-front of goal, creating at least three shots per game, sitting fourth in the league for total shots this season (33 shots).

Keane faces Canberra United on Saturday, who have the league’s worst defensive record this season, conceding 19 goals from seven games – meaning there’s every chance she will return to the scorers sheet this weekend.

SELL

Susan Phonsongkham (Perth Glory)

  • Price: $226.4k
  • Position: MID
  • Ownership: 31.2%

It’s been a quiet run for one of Official A-Leagues Fantasy’s most popular players this season.

After an incredible start to the season, Susan Phonsongkham has gone five straight games without reaching double digits scoring in a single game, averaging 5.2 points per game during this period.

The Perth Glory attacker has dipped in price by over $90k throughout this dip in form, and looks set to drop again unless she can score higher than eight.

Coaches may opt to back her in for at least another week, but if you have the trades and the cash in reserve, it might be time to look elsewhere with the likes of Chloe Logarzo ($290.5k) and Nanako Sasaki ($359.6k) in a rich vein of form.

BUY

Ben Old (Wellington Phoenix)

  • Price: $301k
  • Position: MID
  • Ownership: 1.7%

It’s fair to say, Ben Old is on fire at the moment.

The Wellington Phoenix midfielder recorded 18 points in their dramatic 2-0 win over Western Sydney Wanderers last weekend, after scoring his side’s second to wrap up the three points. Old has now scored double digits in three of his last four games, as a result of goals in each of those matches against Western United, Macarthur FC and the Wanderers.

Old’s price has rocketed to $301k from $150.7k heading into the Western clash a month ago, and looks set to soar in price again with a breakeven of -10 heading into their clash with Sydney FC on Friday.

Incredibly, he’s in only 1.7% of teams, making him a brilliant point of difference for coaches.

HOLD

Bruno Fornaroli (Melbourne Victory)

  • Price: $639.4k
  • Position: FWD
  • Ownership: 21%

Bruno Fornaroli will play his final game before jetting off to Qatar for the AFC Asian Cup, when Melbourne Victory take on Adelaide United this weekend.

Incredibly, the Uruguayan-born Socceroo has been the second-most traded out player in A-Leagues Men’s Fantasy, but despite his impending one-month departure, it’s best to back him in for one more week.

Fornaroli scored in the previous meeting against the Reds at AAMI Park, and would be chomping at the bit to go out on a high before he links up with his national team teammates.

SELL

Clayton Taylor (Newcastle Jets)

  • Price: $363.5k
  • Position: MID
  • Ownership: 9.5%

Clayton Taylor has been one of the revelations of the season, but it may be time to part with the Newcastle Jets youngster.

After a score of 23, Taylor has registered tallies of three and four in his last two, and looks to have maxed out from a price standpoint, reaching $363.5k but having a breakeven of 20 going into their clash with Western United.

The former Sydney FC youngster is expected to drop $46.9k this week according to the Assistant Coach function which is predicting he will score eight points this weekend, meaning it might be the right time to cash in on him before he dips in value.
