Adelaide United have released a special kit ahead of this season’s Pride Cup double-header against Melbourne Victory on March 9 at Coopers Stadium.
The UCAN kit features the artwork of local artist Mali Isabel titled ‘Our Limitless Layers of Life’ and will be worn by the Reds in the third edition of the Pride Cup.
The Pride Cup double-header will take place in Adelaide as part of the A-Leagues’ 2024 Pride Celebration from March 8-10 in Australia, and March 30 in New Zealand across both the Liberty A-League Women and Isuzu UTE A-League Men.
Adelaide’s outfield kit features Mali’s design on a white base whilst the goalkeeper jersey is completely wrapped in the design.
Fans can now purchase the new 2023-24 Pride Cup jersey at the Adelaide United Store in Hindmarsh and online via the Adelaide United Online Store.
Adelaide United head of football Marius Zanin, said: “At Adelaide United, we believe in the power of football to unite people from all walks of life, and our Pride Cup jersey embodies our values of inclusivity and respect, and we are thrilled to stand in solidarity with the LGBTQIA+ community through this vibrant representation.
“The Pride Cup kit will be prominently featured during Pride Cup, a special match dedicated to celebrating diversity within the footballing community.
“This match will serve as a platform to raise awareness, foster dialogue, and promote acceptance of LGBTQIA+ individuals within the broader sporting landscape.
“We are very proud of the overall design as we are of our 20-year history, and feel that this is the perfect jersey to commemorate a special season ahead.”
