The Australian Professional Leagues have launched new logos and branding to celebrate the 20th anniversary season of the A-Leagues, which kicks off on October 18.
Since the inaugural Isuzu UTE A-League Men campaign kicked off with eight teams in 2005, the competitions have grown significantly with the addition of the Ninja A-League Women in 2009 and expansion across both competitions.
The 2024-25 campaign will feature the most teams yet with the introduction of Auckland FC taking the number of sides in the men’s competition to 13.
This anniversary provides an opportunity to acknowledge the deep history of football in Australia and New Zealand, particularly across the past two decades.
As part of the season-long celebration, the A-Leagues’ logo will be accompanied by both the number 20 and the years 2005-2025, as part of a sleek new design representing the future of the competitions while celebrating its past.
The 2024-25 A-Leagues season is a watershed moment for football in Australia and New Zealand and with immense pride in the leagues’ rich history, the APL has commemorated the 20th anniversary in style.
The A-Leagues’ 20-year logo is just one of many initiatives planned for the upcoming season as the APL pays homage to the players, coaches and clubs that have made the competition what it is today, and connecting to every person that has watched and supported A-Leagues clubs over the past 20 years.
Stay tuned to A-Leagues social channels and visit aleagues.com.au throughout the campaign as we celebrate two decades of the A-Leagues – the icons, the heroes and villains, the big moments, the iconic games, kits, goals, saves and so much more – while looking ahead to the league’s bright future, with more clubs than ever before set to take part in season 20.
