The Australian Professional Leagues (APL) have confirmed the following fixture update.
Due to extenuating circumstances relating to pitch remediation at No.2 Sportsground, Newcastle Jets’ season opener against Western Sydney Wanderers has now been moved to Cessnock Sportsground.
Newcastle Jets assessed various alternate venues that have previously hosted Ninja A-League Women matches however, they are also not available due to scheduled turf renovation periods or existing events.
Both Club and APL have worked collaboratively to secure Cessnock Sportsground as a suitable alternative for the match.
Kick off for the contest between the Jets and the Wanderers remains at 4pm (AEDT) on November 3.
