Isuzu UTE A-League champions Melbourne City have confirmed the departure of star midfielder Steven Ugarkovic.
Ugarkovic leaves City following the conclusion of his contract and after playing a key role in the club’s historic Grand Final triumph over foes Melbourne Victory last week.

The versatile 30-year-old midfielder – who also played full-back at times in 2024-25 – made 61 appearances across two seasons in Melbourne, scoring six goals as he got his hands on a maiden title.

City’s director of football Michael Petrillo added: “Steven’s experience and quality were huge factors in our success this season, and he has been a hugely important member of our squad since he arrived in 2023.
