The Melbourne Victory striker fired home a whopping four first-half goals to give Tony Popovic’s side a 4-1 lead, headlined by an incredible Goal of the Season contender to bring up his fourth of the game at AAMI Park.
Adama Traore burst down the left-hand side, before putting on a platter for Fornaroli, whose rabona nestled in the top corner.
Fornaroli’s bag of four goals has also taken him in to third in the all-time leading Isuzu UTE A-League goalscorer charts with 94 goals, overtaking Shane Smeltz who is on 92.
His four goals have also helped overturn a one-goal deficit, after Mark Natta gave the Jets the lead inside the opening ten minutes, before ‘El Tuna’ took over only minutes later.

Fornaroli’s first goal came after a lovely cross from Daniel Arzani, which landed at the feet of the Uruguayan born striker to bury into the back of the net. He added another on the half-hour mark after linking up with Traore earlier in the game.
His third came from the spot, after Carl Jenkinson handled Nishan Velupillay’s shot, before adding a fourth with style.
