Former Macarthur FC star Craig Noone has been appointed head coach of the Bulls FC Academy men’s team.
Macarthur made the announcement on Saturday after the Englishman officially retired following a professional playing career spanning 18 years.
The 35-year-old, who played for Macarthur in the Isuzu UTE A-League last season, replaces Zeljko Kalac following his departure on the back of the youth team’s relegation from NPLM NSW in 2023.

“I am excited for the challenge and I am grateful for the club giving me the opportunity to lead Bulls FC Academy,” Noone said, having already completed his UEFA A Licence.
“Coaching is something that I have always been passionate about and I started my coaching badges back in 2016. I think I’ll bring a lot of experience from my playing career to coaching.
“There are a lot of talented youngsters at the club who have great potential and I can’t wait to get started with the team ahead of the 2024 NPL NSW season.”
Former Macarthur star Noone made 21 appearances last season, while he tallied 44 A-Leagues games in total for the Campbelltown-based club, scoring five goals after arriving in 2021.
He also spent two years with Melbourne City where he won the Premiership and Championship, having previously played for the likes of Plymouth Argyle, Brighton and Hove Albion, Cardiff City and Bolton Wanderers in the United Kingdom.
“As a player, Craig was a leader within our dressing room and we believe he has all the qualities to succeed as a coach with our club,” Macarthur CEO Sam Krslovic said.
“We are delighted to have Craig lead our NPL side and we look forward to his leadership of the Bulls FC Academy in the upcoming season.”
