Sydney FC goalkeeper Harrison Devenish-Meares will be sidelined for approximately two months following a foot operation.
Devenish-Meares is facing eight weeks on the sidelines after undergoing surgery on his ankle ligaments.

The 28-year-old signed a contract extension in January having impressed in his maiden campaign with the Sky Blues, starting 29 matches across the Isuzu UTE A-League and AFC Champions League Two.

“Hello beautiful people,” he wrote via Instagram. “Unfortunately there was no way around it, and yesterday I had surgery to stabilise a rupture in my ankle, which means a little bit of time away from the pitch.

Ufuk Talay’s Sydney will face NPLM NSW outfit Sydney United in the Australia Cup Round of 16.
