Perth Glory star dealt cruel blow as ACL injury cuts short season

Perth Glory favourite David Williams will miss the remainder of the Isuzu UTE A-League season due to an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury.

The 36-year-old star suffered the injury in the 13th minute of last week’s 3-0 loss to Macarthur Bulls at HBF Park.

Williams had featured in six games this season, scoring the winner against Brisbane Roar prior to Christmas as the Glory avoided some unwanted A-Leagues history.
