The 2024 A-League All Stars Men Head Coach Patrick Kisnorbo has selected his preliminary 13-player squad to take on Premier League heavyweights Newcastle United, with the full squad set to be revealed after the Isuzu UTE A-League Grand Final teams are confirmed this weekend.
The initial squad, headlined by the inclusion of young gun Nestory Irankunda and Subway Socceroos Mathew Leckie and Adam Taggart – the reigning Golden Boot winner, will see the best of the Isuzu UTE A-League Men take the field at Marvel Stadium as part of Global Football Week Melbourne.

There is talent stacked across the initial squad, with the full roster is set to be announced on Monday 20 May following this weekend’s Semi-Final second-leg matches involving Central Coast Mariners, Sydney FC, Wellington Phoenix and Melbourne Victory.
In the squad is former Serie A star Tolgay Arslan, who capped a memorable first season in Australia with Melbourne City’s Golden Boot, Scott Jamieson Medal for Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year.
Apostolos Stamatelopoulos is also in the squad after a record-breaking campaign at Newcastle Jets that saw him break the club record for most goals in a season with 17 – three shy of Taggart in the Golden Boot race.
